The November issue of the Nashville Medical News highlighted 2 meetings conducted by The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®) in an article that ran on page 4-6. The meetings, Patient-Centered Oncology Care in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the Institute for Value-Based Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, featured speakers Kashyap Patel, MD, CEO of Carolina Blood and Cancer Center, and Stephen Schleicher, MD, MBA, physician and Tennessee Oncology's chair of the Quality and Value Committee at OneOncology, respectively.

A piece in Forbes, “Teva Pharmaceuticals to Resume Production of Scarce Childhood Cancer Drug Vincristine,” featured an article from AJMC®’s sister site The Center for Biosimilars® titled “Senate Bill From Collins, Smith Aims to Tackle Drug Shortages.” The article focused on a bipartisan bill introduced in the Senate that aims to address the growing issue of drug shortages.

An article by mHealth Intelligence, titled “Congress Mulls Federal Support for Specialist Consults Via Telehealth,” cited a study published in the January 2018 issue of AJMC®: “A Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Cardiology eConsults for Medicaid Patients.” The study showed that a randomized trial of eConsults for cardiology referrals from primary care resulted in significant reductions in total cost of care compared with traditional face-to-face consultations.
