Judge Denies Preliminary Injunction in Medicaid Work Requirements Case

Richard G. Stearns of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts denied a motion for a preliminary injunction in Commonwealth of Massachusetts et al. v Oz et al., a lawsuit brought by 25 states and the District of Columbia challenging portions of CMS' interim final rule implementing Medicaid work requirements.¹ As a result, the rule stays in effect while the underlying lawsuit continues.
