Why did you nominate Erin Trish, PhD, for the Seema S. Sonnad Emerging Leader in Managed Care Research Award?

We live in an era right now where healthcare has become an increasingly important issue in society. In fact, some people say in the next presidential election, it will be the most important issue. The problem is that healthcare is extremely complicated, and when it comes time to understand managed care and the impact it has on healthcare spending and health outcomes, it’s very important that we have access to the best quality research.

Erin Trish exemplifies exactly that type of activity. She produces some of the finest research, it’s carefully done, and summarized in ways that are digestible for important audiences.
